Sam Evans // Werewolf // Senior // Appears 18 (32 years old) // Open

  • Beta of the Lima pack.
  • Nicknamed “Sunshine” by Santana and Puck.
  • Mellow but explosive when angry.
  • Still struggling with his sexuality.

Sam Evans has always been an optimistic man. Even when he was teased in high school, he was wearing a cheery smile. Sam’s about as laid back as you can get for a species filled with aggression and rage. That’s not to say he doesn’t have his moments, but they’re just few and far between. However, while Sam might be the most cheerful guy in the pack, he’s also one of the most scary once provoked.

Sam is the epitome of a reliable beta. He balances out Santana’s fiery temper and the two of them work well together when she isn’t actively antagonizing him. He’s a nice guy at heart and hates seeing people get pushed around, as it reminds him all too much of himself before he found his pack. A total geek at heart, he’s got his not-so-secret comic books/’90s cartoon collections stowed away in his room and is known for his corny jokes and dorky impressions.

The talk his mother had given him on his 16th birthday terrified Sam. There was so many things he was questioning about himself already, and adding in some scary curse that sounded like it belonged in a cheesy comic book was not on his ‘fun’ list. He survived his first wolf transition and over the decade or two since he triggered, it’s become easier and easier. Sam enjoys pack life, mostly because he finally has a home and a cast of friends who are closer than family. The need to belong is an overwhelming feeling, and even someone as optimistic as Sam can’t stay happy for long when alone.

Mike Chang Jr. //  Non-Supernatural  // Senior // 17 years old // Open

  • Expected to go to college and take over the family business.
  • Joined the football team at his mother’s insistence.
  • Loves Glee Club because he can dance as much as he wants.
  • Uses wolf blood to boost his football game.

Mike Chang, or Michael Chang Jr, is reminded every day by his father of the important things in life—it just so happens that his father’s idea of important and Mike’s idea of important are two very different things. Michael Chang Sr runs an accounting firm and expects his son to go to college, get his business and accounting degree, and take over the family company, all by the age of 30. And while Mike’s terrified of his father and the harsh criticisms/demands that fill his life, he knows his true passion isn’t accounting. It’s dancing.

Mike joined the football team the same time he joined Glee Club: sophomore year. He never intended to join sports but his mother, who has always wanted his happiness, convinced him to try out for the football team. With football in his resume, Mike was left alone by his father until his junior year. Taking on SAT prep classes and summer internships, Mike could feel his dad breathing down his neck to go to his alma mater or some other fancy, completely boring school.

Mike doesn’t even know if he wants to go to college. With all the added pressure, his football performance has tanked. It was only after he was tired enough to trip over his own feet a week before sectionals that Jesse St. James approached him. He was curious about the “all-natural” mystery drug, and even though the taste was awful, he instantly felt better about himself, stronger—and he even swore he could hear the neighbors discussing their vacation plans all the way next door. With so much pressure to be perfect, Mike’s riding one blood high to the next, hoping to carry his team to a football title and help his Glee Club win a national title. Thinking about anything else is just too stressful.

Possible Endgames:  Brittany, Harmony, Mercedes, OC

Sebastian Smythe // Hunter // Senior // 18 years old // Taken

  • Has a very charming and manipulative personality.
  • Is not above lying, stealing, blackmailing or killing to get what he wants.
  • The epitome of a perfect hunter in almost every way.
  • Can’t shake the hollow feeling in the pit of his stomach.

No one is more proud of their son than Joseph and Lydia Smythe. A prominent family of the Hunters Society Council, the Smythes have been locked in a power struggle with the St. James family for over a century. Sebastian’s family traces back to the blood of the brutes who first encountered werewolves. In fact, Sebastian was named after that very French explorer that survived.

Sebastian is a proud, arrogant young man who has no problem getting his hands dirty if it means a successful outcome. Sebastian knows he’s a homosexual, but can block it out long enough to sleep with women. He’s as haughty as he is charming, and hides behind a very carefully constructed facade that easily fools normal humans. In school he’s one of the crowd favorites and teachers tend to love his neat and precise work. The other hunters aren’t so easy to please, and Sebastian’s gotten the nickname of “the snake” around the ancient council halls. No one would dare say it to his face, and Sebastian’s legacy has too much power for people to try to challenge him.

A fine marksmen, Sebastian made his first real kill at fourteen years old. The wolf was fresh and confused, and Sebastian’s pistol had shiny, new silver bullets. He managed to strike the wolf in the heart on his fifth shot and watched the monster transform back into a boy not much older than himself. It was a life altering day and Sebastian learned how to hide his true emotions. There’s always been something off, something that sits in the back of his mind and leaves an empty feeling in his stomach. If Sebastian could just figure out what exactly he’s missing from life, he can take it for himself and continue on his way to becoming the most powerful hunter in existence.

Endgame: Sam or Male OC

Mercedes Jones //  Non-Supernatural  // Junior // 17 years old // Open

  • Gives famous soul music divas a run for their money as a key player in the Glee Club.

  • Preaches about self-confidence but has her insecure moments.

  • Loves to be wooed and courted, but has high standards.

  • Expects achievement without putting in that much work.

Mercedes doesn’t take anyone’s crap—-she knows she’s going places most people in Lima haven’t even gotten postcards from. Her talent is undeniable, and that means something now that the Glee Club has been put together. Sure, it’s not a huge social status booster, but it is ahappinessbooster and Mercedes Jones without a doubt belongs on stage. Sometimes her ego is too big for anyone else’s comfort, but her best friend Kurt doesn’t seem to mind.

Her knack for fashion and vocal runs started early in life. With a busy dentist for a father and an equally swamped business manager for a mother, Mercedes was raised on dress-up parties at her neighborhood friends’ houses with their parents’ favorite music playing in the background. Almost every weekend and Summer night turned into an “impromptu” karaoke party before Mercedes would have to return to her (usually empty) home. She found that the best way to grab her parents’ attention was via her developing voice, and school talent shows seemed to be the only time she had to truly be their focus. Unfortunately, her natural ability only added to her preexisting laziness, which was drawn from the privilege of coming from a wealthy family. She didn’t have to work hard to sing well or get her first car or for anything, really, and that comfortable truth was just how she liked it.

As she got older, however, singing became more than just a confidence boost. Her first experience with boys, the passing of her aunt, and the increasing pressure to “look better” made singing a stress outlet. Still, like most teens, she was incredibly insecure underneath the front. She didn’t even make it past the first semester of high school before getting involved with the werewolf blood circuit. Jesse St. James gave her the first free taste, and the physical changes were practically addicting. Her metabolism, energy level and lung capacity increased, among other things—but, honestly, it just made being lazy a whole lot easier. Kurt doesn’t quite know what’s different about her and just assumes her unpredictability and poor choice of “friends” is typical high school behavior.

Possible Endgames: Artie, Mike, OC Male

Brittany Pierce // Werewolf // Junior // Appears 16 (60 years old) // Open

  • “Little sister” of the pack even though she’s the oldest wolf.
  • Bubbly personality that is often mistaken for stupidity.
  • Slow, simmering temper that boils over and is hard to contain.
  • Very down and to earth while also having her head in the clouds; Britt often confuses people.

Brittany Susan Pierce is one of a kind. She’s often caught up in her own head which leaves people with the impression that she’s an airhead—but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Britt grew up surrounded by love and acceptance and is truly a ’60s child. Easily excitable and pleased, she gets along well with Sam and the both of them get into all sorts of innocent trouble that usually just has their alpha shaking his head.

Brittany knew who her mate was the second she laid eyes on them. But she never approached her mate, waiting for them to take the initiative and prove that they’re ready. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened yet. She’s a lot more perceptive than people give her credit for, and reading people is a Brittany specialty. While all of werewolves have heightened emotions and capacity, Brittany’s empathy is nearly off the charts and is what makes her so intuitive about human (and wolf) nature.

A free spirit, Brittany spent a good thirty years wandering solo. It was during a carnival that she met the previous alpha, and the idea of a family to love and cuddle up next to, as well as the instintual pack pull had Brittany pledging herself to her pack before she knew it. She doesn’t regret it one bit, even if she does see how sad Finn is and wishes she could help him somehow.

Possible Imprints: Mike, OC, Sam

Artie Abrams // Non-Supernatural // Junior // 17 years old // Open

  • Got into a car crash when he was eight and lost the use of his legs.
  • Covers up his inferiority complex with misogyny.
  • Dreams of being a dancer.
  • Has recently regained feeling in his toes/feet after being on wolf blood for a month.

Artie Abrams hated his life. Hate seems like a harsh word, but when you grow up dreaming to be a dancer and then lose function of your legs, the rose-tinted glasses come off very quick. Artie was resentful and angry, two things a little boy should never be. As he got older, the teasing only seemed to get worse, until Artie found solace in the AV Club. He learned to cover up his pain with jokes and carries a false bravado to make up for his emasculated feelings.

Artie could be classified as the stereotypical “nerd” but he doesn’t embrace the title as much as he appears to. Sure, he loves Halo and Mass Effect as much as the next guy, but seeing Mike Chang twirl down the hallway just makes Artie feel bitter and unwanted. It doesn’t help that he’s a virgin and everyone around him seems to be hooking up; even the AV kids. Glee’s become a second sort of home, and while Artie isn’t the one with the killer dance moves, at least he’s part of something special.

When Jesse approached him with a mystery cure, he was skeptical and sure the guy was trying to steal his money. Still, what did he have to lose? Now, a month later, Artie can actually feel his toes and all the way up to his ankles and he has no idea who to tell. Whatever Jesse’s pushing is obviously not prescription, but Artie’s desperate to walk, and eventually dance, again. Wolf blood is definitely worth the money and whatever risk there may be involved in Artie’s eyes. But just how far will he go to up his doses?

Possible Endgames: Sugar, Harmony, Mercedes, future OC wolf
